The Nuclear Computational Multiphysics Research Group at Rensselaer

The Nuclear Computational MultiPhysics (NuCoMP) research group—previously named the Rensselaer Nuclear Engineering Advanced Modeling and Simulation (R-NEAMS) research group—is a team of researchers at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute that consists of several graduate and undergraduate students headed by Professor Wei Ji.

The underlying research theme of the NuCoMP group is the development of advanced modeling and simulation methods in the fields of nuclear reactor physics and engineering.   In past years, the research group have addressed several multi-scale, multi-physics computational challenges, and proposed several new solutions to problems arising from novel reactor designs and encompassing other nuclear related multidisciplinary research issues.
